Spring Just Got a Lot More Fun for Williamsburg Families

If you're a parent, a grandparent, or anyone who has little ones in your life, this is the kind of news that makes spring feel even better. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is hosting Kids' Weekends every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from March 21 through April 19, 2026. The event is included with regular park admission, which means no extra ticket cost to access most of what's happening.

Whether you're already living in Williamsburg or you're thinking about making a move to the Historic Triangle, events like this tell you something important. This community offers a quality of life that's hard to match. World-class attractions, family-friendly programming, and a calendar full of things to do, right in your own backyard.

Let's break down exactly what's happening so you can plan your visit.

What's Included in Kids' Weekends at Busch Gardens

All of the following activities are included with park admission. Dates, times, and offerings are subject to change, so check the park schedule before your visit.

Sesame Street Forest of Fun Activities

The youngest guests can enjoy Storytime with Sesame Street friends and explore a colorful flower maze inside the Sesame Street Forest of Fun. Photo opportunities with Sesame Street characters are available at "1-2-3 Smile with Me," and kid-sized thrills are waiting on rides like Grover's Alpine Express, Elmo's Spire, and The Little Balloons.

Live Shows and Entertainment

The Sunny Day Celebration is a live sing-and-dance show featuring Sesame Street characters. There's also a Kids' Dance Party with a DJ. Check the daily park schedule for show times.

Brand-New Show: When the Pages Turn

This is a brand-new show for 2026. "When the Pages Turn" is performed at the Globe Theatre and follows a young girl named Chloe who rediscovers the magic of kindness and creativity through her favorite book. Her imagination comes to life, filling the stage with colorful characters and adventure. It sounds genuinely charming, and it's the kind of show that kids and parents can enjoy together.

Reserved seating for "When the Pages Turn" is available for five dollars and ninety-nine cents per person. To reserve, check-in up to 30 minutes before the show. Strollers are not permitted in the reserved seating area. To make a reservation or rebook, call (757) 229-4386 at least one day prior to your selected show date.

Arts and Crafts

Fun crafts and coloring pages are available throughout the event for younger guests.

Why This Matters for People Moving to Williamsburg, VA

Here's what I always tell families who are relocating to the Historic Triangle, whether for a military assignment at Joint Base Langley-Eustis or Naval Weapons Station Yorktown, a career move, or retirement.

Williamsburg is not just a place to live. It's a place where life is genuinely good.

You have Colonial Williamsburg, the College of William and Mary, excellent schools, beautiful neighborhoods in James City County and York County, and right next door, one of the best theme parks on the East Coast. Busch Gardens Williamsburg consistently ranks among the top parks in the country, and events like Kids' Weekends are part of what makes this area so family-friendly year-round.

For buyers relocating from out of the area, these are the kinds of details that help a new place feel like home. And for sellers, a vibrant, amenity-rich community supports the value of your investment.
